1. Make a diorama
Have students choose Desert or Wetland biome.
Using the information from the above topics of discussion, students can design and create individual biomes.
Suggested Materials for desert and wetland biome
Shoebox
Clay
Glue
Markers, paint, crayons
Sand
Construction paper
Scissors
Tissue paper
Plastic figurines or toys
Artificial moss, ferns and cattails (available at craft stores)
2. Create a wetland and/or desert scene
Wall space or a bulletin board can be divided and students can collectively create side by side scenes or a mural of both wetland and desert.
